A constitutional referendum was held in Armenia on December 6, which, as it is well known, was accompanied by large-scale voter fraud. From 1990 to 2013, every election in the country was more peaceful than the previous ones, with the number of violations decreasing from election to election.<\/p>\n
However, we cannot say the same about the 2015 referendum, which is a clear step backward for Armenian democracy. Let\u2019s try to understand why a country which was slowly moving towards democracy began going backwards rapidly and whether it has anything to do with the country\u2019s membership to the Eurasian Economic Union.<\/p>\n
