On July 25, 2020, a public discussion on the National Security Strategy of the Republic of Armenia organized by the “Union of Informed Citizens” took place at the Hilton Hotel in Yerevan.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The strategy was approved by the Security Council on July 10, 2020.<\/p>\n

It declares as its main goal the establishment of guidelines for the safe, progressive development and welfare of the citizens of Armenia, based on the independent, sovereign, powerful Republic of Armenia, as the guarantor of the realization of this goal and the homeland of the Armenian people all over the world.<\/p>\n

The speakers of the public discussion were the Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan; Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Ruben Rubinyan; Secretary of the NA “Bright Armenia” faction, NA MP Gevorg Gorgisyan; Program Coordinator of the “Union of Informed Citizens” NGO Daniel Ioannisyan; and the director of the Armenian Institute of International and Security Affairs Styopa Safaryan.<\/p>\n
