EurAsian referendum standards (animation video)

A constitutional referendum was held in Armenia on December 6, which, as it is well known, was accompanied by large-scale voter fraud. From 1990 to 2013, every election in the country was more peaceful than the previous ones, with the number of violations decreasing from election to election.

However, we cannot say the same about the 2015 referendum, which is a clear step backward for Armenian democracy. Let’s try to understand why a country which was slowly moving towards democracy began going backwards rapidly and whether it has anything to do with the country’s membership to the Eurasian Economic Union.
