UIC statement on the number of participants in the May 9 opposition rally

Today, on May 9, the opposition “Resistance” movement was holding a rally in the France Square of Yerevan from 18:00.

The Union of Informed Citizens carried out an aerial count of the participants of the rally, as a result of which it was revealed that as of 18:47, there were about 7,700 people in the France Square and the surrounding areas.

It should be noted that the opposition had previously announced that the rally would start at 17:00, but it started only at 18:00. According to that, we made our calculation based on the photo taken after the start of the rally.

It should be noted that some participants of the rally are probably not visible due to being under trees or tents.

The calculation was performed through individual counting of participants.
