Problems, Successes and Future of Police Reform

On July 22 and 23, the seminar-discussion “Problems, Successes and Future of Police Reform” organized by the Union of Informed Citizens NGO was held in Tsaghkadzor.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia Arpine Sargsyan, Deputy Chief of Police Vardan Vardanyan, Chief of the Police Patrol Service Artur Khudinyan, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Defense and Security Affairs Armen Khachatryan, Programs Coordinator of Union of Informed Citizens Daniel Ioannisyan spoke at the event organized for journalists and influencers selected through an open competition.

The speakers presented to the participants the reforms related to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the reforms that have been implemented and are still in progress, the difficulties that arose during their implementation, and also answered the participants’ questions. The “Civil Society for You” program and the “Naughty Officials” campaign implemented within its framework were also briefly presented.
