Union of Informed Citizens holds a workshop titled Field Oversight of Public Procurement in Aghveran

On June 22 and 23, Aghveran hosted a workshop titled “Field Oversight of Public Procurement” for journalists and civil society representatives.

The event was organized by the Union of Informed Citizens with the support of the United Kingdom Government.

The speakers at the workshop included Deputy Minister of Finance Avag Avanesyan, representative of the Urban Development Committee Gevorg Khrimyan, specialist in road construction projects Bagrat Badalyan, director of the Drug Utilization Research Group NGO Irina Ghazaryan and Programs Coordinator at the Union of Informed Citizens NGO Daniel Ioannisyan.

During the workshop, issues related to public oversight and transparency of public procurement and ways to expand the toolkit for stakeholders to monitor the procurement process were discussed.
