Union of Informed Citizens Stepanakert Office opens in Artsakh

On July  23, Union of Informed Citizens Stepanakert Office officially launched its activities in Artsakh, with Vahram Toqmajyan as Executive Director.

It was founded by a number of members of the Union of Informed Citizens NGO and aims to contribute to the development of civil society and enhancement of democracy in Artsakh.

The first test of the organization will be the observation mission and the training of voters for local elections to be held on September 8 in all the communities of Artsakh.

For this purpose, representatives of the delegation led by Programs Coordinator of Union of Informed Citizens NGO Daniel Ioannisyan met with Speaker of National Assembly of Artsakh Ashot Ghulyan, Justice Minister Ararat Danielyan, Human Rights Defender Artak Beglaryan, President of Public Artsakh TV Arsen Arustamyan, representatives of the Police and CEC, and local civic activists.

Future plans include building the capacities of Union of Informed Citizens Stepanakert Office, making it a completely local Artsakh NGO.
