Armenian political parties are preparing for the snap parliamentary elections on June 20, but few speak about the need to adopt the draft amendments and additions to the Electoral Code.

Adoption of the package of amendments to the Electoral Code, which is one of the commitments of the current ruling party, will enable the political forces to be engaged in a political competition, rather than a competition of resources, reducing unequal competition with administrative, media and financial resources.

The Union of Informed Citizens NGO is organizing a discussion on March 20 at 12:00 in the Milan Hall of the Hilton Hotel on the need to adopt the amendments to the Electoral Code before the elections, with the involvement of representatives of parliamentary and extra-parliamentary parties.

Speakers:

HERIKNAZ TIGRANYAN, MP from “My Step” Faction of the National Assembly

KAREN SIMONYAN, MP from “Bright Armenia” Faction of the National Assembly

DANIEL IOANNISYAN, Programs Coordinator at Union of Informed Citizens NGO

GOR HAKOBYAN, Member of Board of “Citizen’s Decision” SDP

NORAYR NORIKYAN, Chairperson of the “Fair Armenia” Party
